DBRS Morningstar Publishes Final Corporate Holding Company and Parent/Subsidiary Rating Relationships Criteria
Energy, Services, ConsumersDBRS Morningstar finalized its “DBRS Morningstar Global Criteria: Rating Corporate Holding Companies and Parent/Subsidiary Rating Relationships” (the Methodology). The Methodology presents the criteria for which corporate holding company credit ratings on a global basis are assigned and/or monitored.
Per the press release published on August 4, 2023, in which market participants were invited to provide comments, the Methodology supersedes the prior version published on October 26, 2022, and is effective as of September 27, 2023. No comments were received during the request for comment period, which ended on September 5, 2023. While no material changes have been made to the request for comment version published on August 4, 2023, DBRS Morningstar notes the addition of footnote 5 on page 2, which discusses holding companies with significant operating assets.
DBRS Morningstar has determined that no ratings will change as a result of this update.
All comments received during the request for comment period have been published to the DBRS Morningstar website, except in cases where confidentiality is requested by the respondent.
