DBRS Morningstar Publishes Updated Methodology for Rating Companies in the Regulated Electric, Natural Gas, and Water Utilities Industry

DBRS Morningstar published an updated version of its Rating Companies in the Regulated Electric, Natural Gas, and Water Utilities Industry methodology, hereafter referred to as the Global Methodology for Rating Companies in the Regulated Electric, Natural Gas, and Water Utilities Industry (the Methodology). In accordance with the discussion in the press release entitled “DBRS Morningstar Publishes Five Final Corporate Methodologies and Clarifies Geographic Scope of Certain Corporate Methodologies” dated August 29, 2022, the title of this Methodology has changed from the prior year.

DBRS Morningstar has conducted a periodic review of the Methodology. This update supersedes the previous version published on September 24, 2021, and is effective as of September 13, 2022. DBRS Morningstar deems the update not to be material and has determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of this update.
