DBRS Morningstar Publishes Final Canadian Provincial and Territorial Government Methodology

DBRS Morningstar finalized its “Rating Canadian Provincial and Territorial Governments” methodology (the Methodology).

The Methodology presents the criteria for which Canadian provincial and territorial government ratings are assigned and/or monitored.

Per the press release dated April 27, 2022, the Methodology supersedes the prior version published on May 3, 2021, and is effective as of June 1, 2022.

No comments were received during the comment period, which ended May 27, 2022.

DBRS Morningstar deems the update not to be material and has determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of this update.

All comments received during the request for comment period have been published to the DBRS Morningstar website, except in cases where confidentiality is requested by the respondent.
