DBRS Morningstar Discontinues Ratings on NewDay Funding 2018-1 plc
Consumer Loans & Credit CardsDBRS Ratings Limited (DBRS Morningstar) discontinued its ratings on the Class A1, Class A2, Class B, Class C and Class D Notes (together, the Notes) issued by NewDay Funding 2018-1 plc (the Issuer).
The discontinuations reflect the full repayment of the Notes on Scheduled Redemption Date of 16 August 2021. Prior to their repayment, the ratings and the outstanding principal balance of the Notes were as follows:
-- Class A1 Notes rated at AAA (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of GBP 93,000,000.00
-- Class A2 Notes rated at AAA (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of GBP 100,000,000.00
-- Class B Notes rated at AA (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of GBP 26,180,000.00
-- Class C Notes rated at A (low) (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of GBP 38,760,000.00
-- Class D Notes rated at BBB (low) (sf) with an outstanding principal balance of GBP 48,280,000.00

At the time of the initial ratings, DBRS Morningstar was supplied with third-party assessments. However, this did not impact the rating analysis.

The last rating action on this transaction took place on 15 February 2021 when DBRS Morningstar discontinued and withdrew its ratings on the Class E and Class F Notes following their cancellation. Prior to this, on 18 December 2020, DBRS Morningstar downgraded its ratings on the Class B and C Notes to AA (sf) and A (low) (sf), respectively, from AA (high) (sf) and A (high) (sf), respectively, and confirmed its ratings on the Class A1, Class A2, and Class D Notes at AAA (sf), AAA (sf) and BBB (low) (sf), respectively.
