DBRS Morningstar Publishes Updated Global Methodology for Rating Sovereign Governments

DBRS Morningstar published an updated version of the Global Methodology for Rating Sovereign Governments.

With this update, a few minor clarifications have been incorporated into the text. In particular, we have provided additional information on how DBRS Morningstar takes into account the impact of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors on sovereign credit ratings. DBRS Morningstar has conducted a periodic review of the Global Methodology for Rating Sovereign Governments. This update supersedes the previous version published on July 27, 2020 and is effective as of July 9, 2021. DBRS Morningstar deems the update not to be material and has determined that no ratings are expected to change as a result of this update.
