DBRS Morningstar Publishes Final Canadian Long-Term Care Methodology

DBRS Morningstar Credit Ratings (DBRS Morningstar) finalized its “Rating Companies in the Canadian Long-Term Care Industry” methodology (the Methodology) after the closure of a public request for comment period that ended on September 30, 2019, per DBRS Morningstar’s press release “DBRS Requests Comments on Proposed Canadian Long-Term Care Methodology” dated August 30, 2019.

The Methodology presents the criteria for which Canadian long-term care industry company ratings are assigned and/or monitored.

DBRS Morningstar only received comments from one commenter, none of which were material, and all have been incorporated into this final version.

All comments received during the request for comment period have been published to the DBRS Morningstar website, except in cases where confidentiality is requested by the respondent.
