Home Capital Group, through its primary operating subsidiary, Home Trust Company (HTC), is engaged in residential mortgage lending mainly to non-prime borrowers, in addition to commercial mortgage lending, credit card lending, and a modest amount of other consumer lending. HTC is funded primarily by brokered deposits and securitizations, in addition to sourcing direct deposits through its direct-to-consumer brand, Oaken Financial.
