British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro) is a commercial Crown agent of the Province of British Columbia that generates, transmits, and distributes electric power, primarily from renewable energy sources. In addition to providing electricity to British Columbia, BC Hydro's transmission system is connected to transmission systems in the Province of Alberta and Washington State, allowing energy-trade opportunities.
